The BIG talk

Ok, I am going to post this so I can get some feedback. Me and a couple of friends have been wondering about this lately. What is a good age to have the sex talk? I really feel like Braydon is so young, and I don't know what he knows, but I am afraid that he could be hearing things at school and I would rather have the talk than have him get the wrong idea about it. I need tons of feedback on this so anyone that can help. I have been dreading this talk since the day my kids were born. I was hoping the second coming would have come before this. By the way, he will be 10 next month.

School Drill

I while back I posted about a graphic drill they did at Braydon's school. Channel 3 did a story on it that aired today. I guess I didn't realize how intense it really was. Anyone interested go to azfamily.com and check out the video from it. Pretty Scary. I don't really know how to feel about it.

Kinnly's Fan Club

Kinnly goes to preschool at the Primary School. When I drop him off at lunch time the kindergarteners are at recess. This is the group that usually greets him. They are so funny with him. They take his back pack for him, make sure his hair is combed right, hold his hand, and he just loves every minute of it.

Connie and Mike

Here is a picure of Mike and his sister Connie. They have different moms and they never knew each other growing up. Connie found her Dad about 18 years ago. It is an amazing story. Mike can remember his dad taking him with him when he was little, and driving out to Illinois to look for these kids. Mike's mom has told us how happy Bill was the day that Connie found him. We were able to see Connie when we went through Taos last summer, and spent some time with her. She is such an amazing person, and it is so cool how alike her and Mike are even though they didn't grow up together. We love you Connie.

What is this?

A HILL-BILLY!!!!

I saw this on Marci's blog and I thought it was hilarious

President Monson

I am so excited to have President Monson as our new prophet. Ever since I was a little girl I have been facsinated with him. When I was young I don't think I ever even knew who the other apostles were, but as soon as he would speak at conference I would be right in front of the TV and I wouldn't move until he was done.

Times have Changed

Remember when we were in school and we would have the simple bus evacuation drills? Times have changed. Yesterday at Braydon's school they had mock disaster drills. They had masked gunmen come running in and shoot at them. They had certain kids who were in on it and they either pretended to get wounded or pretended to die. I was shocked!! I guess I am glad they prepare these kids for the worst, but how sad that we live in a world where these kids have to prepare for this.

Girls Day!

I had a Dr. Appointment in Flagstaff yesterday so Mandy went with me so we could have a girls day. Living where we live we don't have much chance for shopping so we had so much fun. We also should get bargain shopper of the year awards. We bought shirts at Old Navy for 79 cents. We were so proud of ourselves. Thanks for going Mandy, I had a blast.
